Built in 1919 and centered in the heart of the Capitol riverfront, this adaptive reuse project brings new life to a vacant building in the Navy Yard section of Washington, DC.
The interior portion of the project includes a new basement and slab on grade designed to carry the weight of 3 additional floors, interior elevator, underground drainage, waterproofing, brick restoration, and all new utilities.
Exterior highlights include: fully restored steel windows and glazing, brick restoration, a new underground PEPCO transformer vault, standing seam metal roof, new aluminum clearstory windows, underground storm, and brick paver restoration.
