Ed Zigo

Principal/Development
Ed is a co-founder and principal at RZJames, whose work is driven by a decade’s worth of experience in understanding the latest market trends for commercial space. He develops strategies and solutions for clients to help them better understand their needs to be successful. Ed also leads RZJames’ business development and subcontractor relations efforts.

Ed’s construction roots can be traced back to high school where he worked for his family’s real estate company doing property maintenance and tenant improvements. It was during this time that he developed a strong passion for building. Prior to RZJames, Ed worked on several award-winning projects at HITT, a national general contracting firm. At HITT, he spent time working in the field and also in the office, where he first joined the preconstruction department, assisting with budgets and bids for projects valued at over $10 million, and ultimately became an Assistant Project Manager on the corporate interiors team, specializing in fast-paced, high-end commercial office fit outs.

Ed has worked for clients throughout the country and the Washington, DC metro area, including The JBG Companies, Cushman Wakefield, The Carlyle Group, Boston Properties, Tishman Speyer, Cassidy Turley, Brandywine, Akridge, Jones Lang Lasalle, Velsor Properties, PBS, KGO, DTZ, FOX Architects, FORM Architects, VOA Architects, Gensler, The M Group, OPX, DBI Architects, ecell Healthcare, Windward Solutions, National Retail Federation, Banner Public Affairs, Capital Strategies, Sidwell Friends School, Albright Stonebridge Group, New America, Hudson Institute, RAND, Clarke-Hook Corporation, Herring & Trowbridge Architects, and Brickyard.
