Ken Orem

Principal/Operations
Ken is a co-founder and principal at RZJames, where he oversees the development and implementation of executive, financial, and support operations strategies company wide. Ken also leads our operations team, helping run programs across our project management efforts.

Prior to founding RZJames, Ken worked at HITT Contracting, a nationally recognized general contracting firm. At HITT, Ken honed his expertise in government, industrial flex, religious, and educational institutions. There, he provided preconstruction services to clients on over $150 million dollars in project value and has been directly involved in the day to day activities of over $50 million dollars in project values over his tenure.

Ken’s career in the construction industry began as an assistant project manager for Chamberlain Construction where he excelled and within a year and was promoted to project manager. It was during this time where Ken developed a strong passion for building. Over the last decade, Ken has built a reputation for being open and transparent with all of his clients. He believes success is driven by client satisfaction as well as upstanding business and moral ethics.

Ken’s work can be seen throughout the nation and the capital region, particularly in Northern Virginia, and includes clients like Clarke-Hook Corporation, Cushman Wakefield, Fannie Mae, CIA, AOC, Velsor Companies, MGAC, Metropolitan Facilities, Markop Solutions, AECOM, Lockheed Martin, HGA Architects, Kerns Group Architects, Aris Architects, Cole and Denny Architects, Loveless Porter Architects, DBI Architects, Michael Graves Architect, Andropogon Architects, Christopher Consultants, Hankins and Anderson, SHW Group, FormDesign, Herring & Trowbridge Architects, and Brickyard.
